About Edges
We have owned and occupied two permanent spaces, the first legal playspaces in the United States. Our goals have always centered around freedom of sexuality for adults, providing a safe and encouraging place to share your desires, and an environment that fosters peer learning and creativity. Our group is welcoming and excited to share! If you're feeling unsure, give us a call in advance and let us know you're coming: we have lots of volunteers happy to introduce you around.
 
 
Keeping Us Alive
Volunteering is the reason our group thrives. By volunteering you will gain a sense of pride and ownership as you step in and help Edges and our Bay Area Leather Community grow. You will meet new friends and connections as well as gaining a better understanding for creating a network of trust and teamwork. We are volunteer run from the ground up: this takes an effort on everyone's part!
 
 
Getting Involved
The best way to get involved and find out more: visit our Wet Munch each Thursday at Renegades Bar.  If you are unsure, just sit back to watch the group and jump in when you are ready.  Meet our members face to face: it will give you an opportunity to ask questions and find your niche and desires. No dress code: many people simply stop by after work to meet up with friends and enjoy some light play. *No nudity allowed at this venue.
 
 
If You Are Single
We have many members that come to our events as singles seeking to play with others. However, the best and most effective way to establish a connection to play with others is by first making yourself familiar to others in the community. This is typically done by being seen and engaging others at munches, classes, social groups and through volunteering. Several of our events do provide singles mixers and icebreakers!
 
 
What About the PLAY
We host a variety of turn-key events for others ranging from conferences to private home parties. Our own parties range from small and intimate to large and out of control: it depends what your goals are.  We provide equipment and supplies, but you are expected to bring your own toys.
 
Note that we are not a professional service and do not allow "Play for Pay".
